BidChaser, operated by Luke Larsen ("we", "us", "our") operates the BidChaser platform at trybidchaser.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and company name. This information is required to operate your account and send notifications.

Customer Data

You provide customer information including names, phone numbers, estimate amounts, and notes. This data is stored securely and used solely to deliver the Service (sending follow-up messages, tracking engagement, generating alerts).

Usage Data

We automatically collect estimate view events (timestamp, device type, IP address), CTA click events (schedule button, call button), message delivery status from Twilio, and basic analytics (login frequency, feature usage). IP addresses from estimate views are used for rate limiting and analytics, and are not shared with third parties.

Twilio Credentials

If you connect your own Twilio account, we store your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and phone number. These credentials are encrypted at rest and used only to send and receive messages on your behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Sending automated follow-up text messages to your customers
  • Tracking estimate views and engagement
  • Delivering hot lead alerts and reply notifications
  • Providing analytics and dashboard reporting
  • Communicating with you about your account and the Service
  • Improving and maintaining the Service

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security (RLS) enabled. Each user can only access their own data. Sensitive credentials (Twilio tokens) are encrypted. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. We do not store credit card information directly — payment processing is handled by Stripe.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Twilio — SMS message delivery (customer phone numbers and message content are transmitted to Twilio for delivery)
  • Netlify — application hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing (when paid plans are active)

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.

5. SMS Data & Customer Privacy

Customer phone numbers and message content are processed through Twilio for SMS delivery. We log message content, delivery status, and timestamps for your dashboard and analytics. Customer reply content is stored and displayed in your message log. Customers may opt out of messages by replying STOP. We automatically honor opt-out requests and update customer records.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Customer data and message logs are retained for the lifetime of your account. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You may export your data at any time from the Settings page.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and export your data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
